Villa Casati, Morocco, Viganò, a seventeenth-century building which, despite undergoing a significant typological change around the second half of the nineteenth century, still shows compositional and formal refinements. An example of this is the granite colonnade set up as a cloister typical of monastic architecture; the portico open towards the internal courtyard shaped by five arches with simple but imposing arches in their elegance; the beautiful entrance portal attributable to the late seventeenth century; the space of the internal courtyard which evocatively recalls the intimate atmosphere of ancient residences the openings of regular size softened by sandstone frames. The conservative restoration project, under the protection of the Superintendence for Architectural Heritage and Landscape, sought to preserve all the external characteristics of the original building to bring it back to its former glory...
